  The Amazing Gospel

  I've been starting each of my classes at Chatham with a question.  "What is the Gospel?"  My goal is that everyone who goes through my class will at least be able to recite it back to me.  I can't make anyone believe it, but we know that faith comes by hearing, and hearing from the Word of God.  So, even though I can't make anyone believe or "get" it, I can declare his Word to those to whom I speak.

  There is nothing besides the Gospel that the church has to offer, folks.  Nothing.  Don't tell people about better marriages, cars, children, food, whatever.  Begin a worship class with the Gospel...because without the Gospel, there is no reason to worship and we don't know Whom we worship.

  I need to do more reading on baptism.  A lot more.
